You have ascended on high,You have led captivity captive;You have received gifts among men,Even from the rebellious,That the Lord God might dwell there.

For thus says the High and Lofty OneWho inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:“I dwell in the high and holy place,With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,To revive the spirit of the humble,And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.

Of Benjamin he said: “The beloved of the Lord shall dwell in safety by Him,Who shelters him all the day long;And he shall dwell between His shoulders.”

It is He who sits above the circle of the earth,And its inhabitants are like grasshoppers,Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain,And spreads them out like a tent to dwell in.

The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood,And the Lord sits as King forever.

He who sits in the heavens shall laugh;The Lord shall hold them in derision.

The Lord is in His holy temple,The Lord’s throne is in heaven;His eyes behold,His eyelids test the sons of men.

The voice of the Lord is over the waters;The God of glory thunders;The Lord is over many waters.

which He worked in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places,

For behold,He who forms mountains,And creates the wind,Who declares to man what his thought is,And makes the morning darkness,Who treads the high places of the earth—The Lord God of hosts is His name.
