For Divine Guidance

42. For Divine Guidance Grant me, I beseech you, almighty ang merciful God, fervently to desire, wisely to search out, and perfectly to fulfil all that is pleasing to you. Order my worldly condition to the glory of your name; grant me the knowledge, desire and ability to do that which you require of me, so that I may walk with you unto my perfect end. Give me, O Lord, a steadfast heart which no unworthy affection may debase; give me an enduring heart which no tribulation can wear out; give me an upright heart which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside. Bestow upon me, O Lord my God, understanding to know you, diligence to seek you, wisdom to find you, and faithfulness that may finally possess you. Amen.
