Therefore thus says the Lord God: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stone for a foundation,A tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation;Whoever believes will not act hastily.

You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness;Therefore God, Your God, has anointed YouWith the oil of gladness more than Your companions.”

“I watched till thrones were put in place,And the Ancient of Days was seated;His garment was white as snow,And the hair of His head was like pure wool.His throne was a fiery flame,Its wheels a burning fire;

For now I will break off his yoke from you,And burst your bonds apart.”

who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,

You are of purer eyes than to behold evil,And cannot look on wickedness.Why do You look on those who deal treacherously,And hold Your tongue when the wicked devoursA person more righteous than he?

And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church.

But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.”

The Lord is a man of war;The Lord is His name.
