I know that whatever God does,It shall be forever.Nothing can be added to it,And nothing taken from it.God does it, that men should fear before Him.

As for that which is far off and exceedingly deep,Who can find it out?

Fear not, for I am with you;Be not dismayed, for I am your God.I will strengthen you,Yes, I will help you,I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

But now, thus says the Lord, who created you, O Jacob,And He who formed you, O Israel:“Fear not, for I have redeemed you;I have called you by your name;You are Mine.

Therefore the Lord said: “Inasmuch as these people draw near with their mouthsAnd honor Me with their lips,But have removed their hearts far from Me,And their fear toward Me is taught by the commandment of men,

The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him,The Spirit of wisdom and understanding,The Spirit of counsel and might,The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.

“Do not say, ‘A conspiracy,’Concerning all that this people call a conspiracy,Nor be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.

Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust,From the terror of the LordAnd the glory of His majesty.

The Lord of hosts, Him you shall hallow;Let Him be your fear,And let Him be your dread.

His delight is in the fear of the Lord,And He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes,Nor decide by the hearing of His ears;
