Where is the dwelling of the lions,And the feeding place of the young lions,Where the lion walked, the lioness and lion’s cub,And no one made them afraid?
I said, ‘Surely you will fear Me,You will receive instruction’—So that her dwelling would not be cut off,Despite everything for which I punished her.But they rose early and corrupted all their deeds.
In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem:“Do not fear;Zion, let not your hands be weak.
The Lord has taken away your judgments,He has cast out your enemy.The King of Israel, the Lord, is in your midst;You shall see disaster no more.
Then Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, and Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, with all the remnant of the people, obeyed the voice of the Lord their God, and the words of Haggai the prophet, as the Lord their God had sent him; and the people feared the presence of the Lord.
‘According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!’
And it shall come to passThat just as you were a curse among the nations,O house of Judah and house of Israel,So I will save you, and you shall be a blessing.Do not fear,Let your hands be strong.’
So again in these daysI am determined to do goodTo Jerusalem and to the house of Judah.Do not fear.
But to you who fear My nameThe Sun of Righteousness shall ariseWith healing in His wings;And you shall go outAnd grow fat like stall-fed calves.
“My covenant was with him, one of life and peace,And I gave them to him that he might fear Me;So he feared MeAnd was reverent before My name.
