For the Lord gives wisdom;From His mouth come knowledge and understanding;
Does not wisdom cry out,And understanding lift up her voice?
Wisdom has built her house,She has hewn out her seven pillars;
“Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!”As for him who lacks understanding, she says to him,
Do not overwork to be rich;Because of your own understanding, cease!
A man who isolates himself seeks his own desire;He rages against all wise judgment.
The rod and rebuke give wisdom,But a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
When pride comes, then comes shame;But with the humble is wisdom.
There is no wisdom or understandingOr counsel against the Lord.
Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with your might; for there is no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.
